Our specialty judge, Mrs Pamela Stanley.

Mrs Stanley of Hallbent Kennels, Billericay,Essex, UK, started her odyssey in Flatcoated retrievers in 1981 with her foundation bitch Hallbent Soft Music, following a long friendship and close association with Miss Georgie Buchanan, who founded Hallbent in 1962. The long Hallbent line of distinguished and physically and temperamentally sound flatcoats, continuing with Pamela to this day, extends through eleven generations of bitches so far, with Pamela's present young bitch, Rosie, carrying high hopes for the future; a future that has the loyal support of Pamela's husband Norman ("Long-suffering chauffeur"/"attentive guardian of dogs on bench") and now includes son David, who became involved as a partner in 1998.

Pamela, an experienced A list judge in UK, is also a well-known International Judge, well respected for her astuteness and honesty, with multiple assignments in Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, and Norway to her credit. Her 3rd appointment in Norway will happen next spring. With the very busy schedule she keeps, we are extremely grateful to Mrs Stanley for agreeing to be our 2008 FCRSC Specialty Judge, and look forward to a wonderful and exciting Specialty in Burlington in September !
